About Me
My name is Malia Alford and I am a musician at heart since I was a young child. I have always loved making music and singing alongside my favorite artists. I am from Adelanto, California where I was introduced to RnB music and pop music. Artists like Rihanna, Jorja Smith, Beyonce, Joji, Frank Ocean and so many more.
I hope I get aspire my dreams through my career class and through social media. I want to share my dreams and passions with everyone and hopefully inspire others with my voice. It takes me a lot of courage to sing around others, let alone share my voice to hundreds of people.

Me, kendyl and Jonah have been working for months to work on our brand that we recently made. I haven’t been updating because we have been working on our logo and making clothes. I have been having so much fun as well.

Today, Jonah, Kendyl, and I interviewed people around school of what they think about the new building and what they do here at school. This is a project to bring smiles and show some kindness for a video we will put together.

For the days I have not written I have been having the best time with my friends in class, kendyl and Jonah. We have been cracking jokes and collating. We are all in fashion now and Jonah is our photographer. We pick outfits and have Pinterest board of outfits to wear. This is what I want my career to be and what I want to pursue. It’s so fun to have friends doing the thing I love most.

Today I have to work on the poster and airdrop my poster to mr tap for him to finish this project. I am going to finish the poster now and submit them as is so I can have the rest of the period to chill out.

I worked on the poster and some editing on the pictures for the poster project. I am not going to be able to put my voice or music in the slide. All I can finish is the poster. I forgot all about this class and forgot to record on BandLab.

We r working on a essays and a film to get money off of. we have to write as essay on drugs and how it not only affects society but why. I also wrote about how I stray away from drugs.

Today I wrote a paragraph about the affects of drugs and how to avoid them. There are a lot of kids, mostly freshman that I Know of, smoking and doing drugs. It happens in the bathrooms or at event games, it is very noticeable to see those around me vaping or higher than a kite. While I was writing this essay I was thinking about singing and BandLab. I hope I can do some covers soon but I haven’t had the energy and time. Maybe tomorrow.

Today we spent the entire period talking about Astro world and what a tragedy it was. we had to read three articles and write a page about what we think and what happened. I think it’s such a sad situation in the music industry as a whole because this shouldn’t be happening at concerts and artists need to be aware of their audience. I would never let this happened at my concert if I were to have one.

Today we worked on worksheets and tried to figure out what we wanted to do for our future. We were looking at what financial stability would be like if we had certain jobs and what house and life we wanted after college. We even worked on what majors we wanted. We did another worksheet where we found what we had in common with the rest of the class

I am going to switch my career to fashion. I am still going to do music but I think it will be better for me to do fashion for myself like I want to. I am going to bring my sketchbook and I worked on the website during class. I added more images and tried to put my posts on the website but had some difficulty.

At the beginning of class I worked on my website and tried to figure out some things. I had to link my WordPress page to the website to show my parents what I am doing in this class. I am going to start working on my music more because I have been taking a break for a while now. I hope I get more motivation to do work.

I worked on a website today to showcase what I do in this class and what I want to do in the future. It’s kind of difficult to decorate and put everything on the website because it confusing and it’s not allowing me to do some things.

We had to do session depending on what we were doing in class. I did a fashion and music session and took notes on what to do and what to look for when I want to pursue my career. I found new fashion apps that will help me with palette colors and design patterns

These past couple of weeks have been fun, we loved seats and I am around the funniest and most joyous people in class. I laugh everyday with them and it’s been fun just to take a break from class and talk with them. We have had a couple of subs and not much work to do. I haven’t been working on music lately because I have no Inspo to do so but I will soon. Today we did a couple of session and took notes on the criteria we are working on in class by professionals.

I am still shaken up by my presentation and how it went but now I am getting out of song writing and working on my covers. I’m taking one at a time as I should. I hope to be more confident and create more to showcase❤️

I have been working on getting my assignments in google classroom but now I have another assignment to make beats. I have to finish this before I get to anything else but I am struggling to find a sound that goes together. I was trying to find an Rnb sound but at this point I am just trying to find anything that sounds good so I can move on. Grades are due today and I need to do all of my google classroom work.

I heard a lot of presentations today and I’m glad to see what a lot of people want to aspire in this class. It was exciting to listen to what everyone had to say. I don’t really want to sing today live because I do not feel good but I feel very pressured to do so. I got my shots today and I especially don’t feel good so I probably won’t sing but I hope to do so in the future.

Today I finally finished my song lyrics for stay ready by Jhene aiko. I am struggling to actually sing it and finish it on recording but I will do it hopefully before the presentation. We have to do a presentation in class about our careers we want to pursue and what we got signed off to do in the class. I have a lot of homework and I just did some touches on the presentation. I will finish it tmrw and hope for the best.

Today is worked on an essay about what careers I was to fulfill in the class and how I would get there. I got three signatures today to do fashion,videography,and video edits. I am going to work on my song and changing to lyrics to fit the song “Stay ready by Jhene Aiko”. I will also record myself everyday to make a video edit of myself with my music in the background. I hope to all of this by the end of this week or next week to showcase to the class.

Today I worked on my music vocabulary in class and commented on the mixtape Mr.Yap put together. I also showed Mr.Yap my showcase song for the BandLab assignment and my collaboration.

I did an essay at the beginning after watching a film Mr.Yap presented in front of the class. Earlier I wrote a song to introduce to my collaboration Mr.Yap made last week and now I am going to be criticizing songs people made on SoundCloud so Mr.Yap can get an idea of what I know about music vocab.

Today I downloaded BandLab and spent my time trying to figure it out for the project on Wednesday. I am going to use the app to record my singing at home so when I come to school on Wednesday, I have something to present. I was and still am trying to find a song for Wednesday to present to class.

I showcased my talent today,which is singing, to the teacher today. I connected my phone to the speaker and chose my choice of music (session 32 by summer walker) and sang. I was and still am nervous about singing in front of him because I do not usually sing in front of people because I don’t like attention. I am starting to step out of my comfort box and this is just the beginning.

Today, I wrote an essay about what I would like to do in Career class for this year. I described what my goals were for this year and what those meant to me. I would like to fulfill that essay and express my passion for music. I hope to make music and sing inside the studio more down the line. Hopefully, I can achieve more along the year and have a good experience from here on out.
